Hello, I am attempting to convert a KTX file back to PNG using the CLI:

PVRTexToolCLI.exe -i _SrcFileName.ktx_ -f r8g8b8a8 -d _OutputFileName.png_

However, doing so instead gives the png file a blueish hue and transparent sections appear as yellow. What could be the issue here.

Doing it through the GUI works fine as expected, but this won’t work as I need to convert a massive amount of KTX files.

The best way to convert ktx to png is this website [https://comparecommander.com/online-ktx-to-png-converter/](https://comparecommander.com/online-ktx-to-png-converter/) just drag and drop the ktx file and collect the png or click on the image to open a browser and select the ktx file simple! More simple is impossible

Hello,

We released our new version of PVRTexTool last December which should have this fix on it. Please, get it from here: [Download the PowerVR Tools and SDK - Imagination](https://www.imaginationtech.com/developers/powervr-sdk-tools/installers/) and let us know if you have any problem.

Best regards.

Carlos.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply and update. I have tried the new version, using the command below, however the KTX on a mac shows an online image advert with people and text in, but the output after converting to PNG is just a pink box. Any ideas please? Screenshots attached - I tried to attach KTX file but it would not allow me to upload. Thanks

Hello

Thank you.

If you need the original KTX file, please let me know how to send it to you (as it could not be uploaded on this forum) and i’ll send across a copy.

Thanks,

Hi smith85,

Thanks for your patience.

I got feedback from Tools Team, they mentioned the ktx file might be using an encoding not supported in PVRTexTool, like LZFSE. Could you please verify whether this is the case?

If you want to, you can also provide the image generating the issue so we can analyse it. You can use a link to Google Drive for instance, you can also raise a ticket in our Support Portal for the same topic ([https://pvrsupport.imgtec.com](https://pvrsupport.imgtec.com)), where you can attach files.

Best regards,
Alejandro
