Hi!
I’m using toktx CLI to compress textures but runs really slow since runs on CPU
I’m wondering if PVRTextTool uses GPU

Thanks

Hi mpaleo-meetkai,

Thanks for your question, and welcome to the PowerVR Developer Forum!

PVRTexTool targets CPU compression only, however it supports multi-threaded compression. Perhaps you could compare with toktx CLI in case PVRTexTool offers a better performance for your needs, there is a CLI version (and also a library which you can integrate in your project).

Best regards,
Alejandro
