Alpha handling cmd line/GUI version of PVRTexTool

I compress a RGB TGA in PVR OGLPVRTC4 with the command line and the GUI version then i open the two ouput files in PVRTexTool then i look at the properties:

The command line version has the alpha properties and the GUI version doesn't.

The command line version shouldn't output an alpha PVR of my non alpha TGA.

As part of the compression step in the common code between the tools the texture should be scanned for alpha so that this flag can be set. Clearly something isn’t working properly.





Thanks for reporting this, I’ll look into it.

I can’t reproduce this bug here using various releases of PVRTexTool. The alpha flag will be set if there is any portion of the texture that is transparent at all. All I can suggest is that you check the original image and make sure you’re using the latest version of the tool.
