Which PowerVR graphics cores support OpenGL ES 3.0?

#2

Our Series6 graphics cores fully support OpenGL ES 3.0.

Our Series5 and Series5XT graphics cores are not capable of supporting the full OpenGL ES 3.0 feature set. However, many of the commercially available Series5XT devices expose the OpenGL ES 3.0 features they are capable of via OpenGL ES 2.0 extensions. Extensions implemented in our reference driver for OpenGL ES 3.0 functionality on Series5XT hardware include:

  • GL_EXT_blend_minmax

  • GL_EXT_texture_rg

  • GL_OES_texture_float

  • GL_OES_texture_half_float

  • GL_OES_texture_npot

  • GL_EXT_occlusion_query_boolean

  • GL_OES_depth_texture

  • GL_OES_depth24

  • GL_OES_mapbuffer

  • GL_OES_packed_depth_stencil

  • GL_OES_rgb8_rgba8

  • GL_OES_required_internalformat

  • GL_OES_fragment_precision_high

  • GL_OES_get_program_binary

  • GL_OES_vertex_array_object

  • GL_OES_vertex_half_float

  • GL_EXT_discard_framebuffer

  • GL_EXT_draw_buffers

  • GL_EXT_shader_texture_lod

  • GL_OES_element_index_uint

  • GL_IMG_multisampled_render_to_texture

  • GL_EXT_multisampled_render_to_texture
