BXE-2 with Ubuntu and Xorg

Hello, I am sure if this is the right forum.

I just acquired a DC-ROMA II Laptop which has RiscV SpaceMIT K1 Octacore which includes GPU BXE-2-32 Imagination.

I have pvr tools, mesa vulkan drivers 22.3.5-bb1

Long story short, I would like to know how to use Xwayland via xorg.conf to configure the GPU since when I do glxinfo and check for renderer I see “softpipe”.

Graphics in X are kind of slow and I am wondering if I could use the GPU in X.

Can you give me some advice ? in xorg.conf doesn’t seem to be a Device section including the imagination driver, and in the list of modules there is none. I have PVR tools installed, but I am kind of new here.

Which driver I need to download ? any instructions to build it ?

Thanks

Hi toorandom,

Thanks for your message and welcome to the PowerVR Developer Forum!

I think our Open Source driver website could be a starting point for you Open Source GPU Driver - Imagination Developers
