Skin export error

When exporting animations from Maya 2010, I’m getting the following error for some of the skinned meshes in the model:

Discarding skin info due to mismatch in the number of vertices in the skin and the mesh.

How do I fix this in the mesh? All vertices are skinned and have weights, so I’m not sure what is causing the error.

I figured out what the problem was. It was that some nodes had the same name as the geometry nodes, so the exporter was getting confused. I got round the issue by making sure every node had a unique name. Not a major issue, but possibly something to consider for a future version of the exporter.
