Try to zoom in on a tiny 4x4 texture with the mousewheel, and then try this on Preview app. The zoom overshoots or undershoots since the sensitivity on the increment/decrement on this tool is too high. I’ve been using the slide at the bottom of the UI instead, and it’s increments require more mouse travel.
Try to lift your finger off the trackpad during a zoom of a small texture (in my case 4x4), and the image jumps to a completely different zoom. This shouldn’t be this hard to adjust the zoom. Preview for example, actually uses a continuous pinch zoom which feels much more natural to interact with.
