Vertex Buffer Object




I am wondering if there is any advantage in terms of performance in using VBOs (with  glDrawElements) on the iPhone/iPod touch platform ?





We cannot comment on the iPhone/iPod platform for various reasons, not least of which is the NDA that all developers must agree to in order to install the SDK required for development and the fact that this is a public forum.

I would suggest you direct your question to Apple or inspect their documentation regarding this issue. If you don’t know how to contact Apple then email or post here again and we can help you get in touch with them.

On most platforms, using VBOs will either gain a performance boost or will incur no penalty over other methods.
