'out of the box' build of examples from current ES 1.1 SDK, e.g. vase, all work fine under iOS Simulator but when deployed to device (Ipod touch 2nd gen/8GB) fail to work correctly. The symptom is the same - the app launches and the initial view is rendered but the screen flickers and fails to animate/update. It looks like the app is continually initialising ??
All the demos do this. Oddly, the oolong port of the transparency (vase) demo works fine, as do various other (non pvr sdk) demos/example code and the OpenGL ES template app from XCODE.
This is using the latest apple SDK (4.2)
