Hardware Cursor Support for Imagination GPU GE8300 on Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland

Hello Team,

I’m using Imagination GPU-GE8300 IP with DDK v2.23 running on RISC-V Development Platform within GNOME-Wayland (Ubuntu 22.04). Would like to know if GPU provides support for Hardware Cursor support that can be enabled to use upon the Ubuntu 22.04 with Wayland Environment. Since the software cursor support provided by the Ubuntu 22.04 Windowing on Wayland has poor performance.

Please kindly do share you inputs and suggestions on this, I would like to enabled the Hardware Cursor for better Performance from the GPU end.

Our GPU should provide support for hardware Cursor under an Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland Environment.

Do you have any GPU driver installed in your development platform at the moment? Please take a look at PVRPerfServerDeveloper does not detect GPU on Synaptics Astra SoC - #4 by AlejandroC to know more details.
