PVRTune hangs host after network connection

Hello,
I tried to run PVRTune under Ubuntu 8.04 with a target OMAP3530 EVM and after PVRTune connects to the target running sgx_perf_server, the host machine hangs (can’t ssh in to kill the process) and I need to reboot.

The target complains:
“Error at getaddrinfo(): Resource temporarily unavailable”
 but both sides indicate a connection was made.  The last things I see in the host /var/log/messages are a few DHCP messages and from input about /devices/virtual/input/input21 which I assume are unrelated.

I tried the Win32 version of PVRTune and it exits silently when trying to connect to the target.  The target shows “Error at recv(): Connection reset by peer”
